Sea Gal is a South Padre Island cruising sailboat available for lessons and excursions.

Sea Gal has participated in The Race to the Border sailboat race from Galveston to South Padre Island and won three of four offshore races from South Padre Island in 2007. She is comfortably outfitted with a secure bimini to shade you from the sun. Sea Gal has a “head”, an interior toilet.

Dolphins often approach Sea Gal and like to dive under the keel or surf on the bow. Dolphins seem to like the quiet nature of sailboats underway without the engine. Small birds occasionally land on Sea Gal for a brief rest while crossing the Ocean.

Her Captain is a certified introductory sailing instructor by the American Sailing Association and has a USCG license up to 50 Gross Tons and up to one hundred miles offshore. He has a First Aid and CPR certification. Sea Gal has up to date safety equipment including VHF radio, life jackets, EPIRB, Spot Connect and a Life raft. He is the Seven Seas Cruising Association host for world sailboat cruisers coming to SPI and Port Isabel. He is a member of the Laguna Madre Yacht Club in Port Isabel. He has sailed inland lakes, Lake Michigan and the Gulf of Mexico and has chartered in Belize.
